For over four decades, Monty Vaughn has turned nervous speakers into confident ones — at Texas Instruments and across a career touching McGraw-Hill, Holt Rinehart and Winston, Macmillan, Harper & Row and eInstruction as an Educational Publishing and Technology Account Executive. He holds a BS from the University of Central Florida with an emphasis in Speech, Theatre, and English — a foundation he’s built on ever since, on stage and in the classroom alike. He is a founding member of Reunion Theater (now the renowned Stages Repertory Company) in Houston. He also taught Speech and English in Ripley, OK(Believe it or not!) where he started the Speech and Debate competitive team.

For over four decades, Monty Vaughn has been in the room when it mattered — coaching engineers before career-defining presentations, executives before the boardroom, and everyday professionals before the meeting they’d been dreading. What started at Texas Instruments, training employees to stand in front of a room and speak with conviction, became a career: a set of skills sharpened across decades, refined into eleven modules, and proven in front of thousands of speakers who walked in nervous and walked out ready.
AI can draft the words. It can’t read a hostile room in real time, adjust its posture on the fly, or earn trust with a human face. That gap — presence, trust, adaptability — is what this program has always closed, long before it needed a name like “the skill AI can’t replace.”
We don’t promise to eliminate your nerves. Nervousness is a physical response, not a character flaw — and it never fully goes away, even for seasoned speakers. This program doesn’t pretend otherwise. Instead, it teaches you to use that adrenaline — to bring genuine energy into a room instead of being controlled by it.
The Communication Mastery Seminar takes that same discipline — Listening, Story, Audience Command, and the eight modules between them — and puts it to work for you. Not theory. Practice, video, and a mirror held up to the way you actually speak, until the version of you that walks into a room matches the one who knows the material cold.
How the Seminar Works
The seminar runs about a day and a half, in eleven modules. Every module has the same simple shape: a short teaching segment, then an activity you do in the room — not one you watch.
- Prep — a few minutes on your own to get your material ready.
- The Floor — you deliver, to a small group of about five.
- Read-back — your listeners tell you what they actually heard.
- Note — one thing that worked, one thing to adjust.
Each activity comes with one clear question the listeners are holding you to, so the feedback you get is specific, never a general impression. And the seminar closes the way it should: not with a test, but with each participant saying, in their own words, what they are taking with them.
